In 1986–1988 excavations at a medieval Black Death cemetery at East Smithfield in London (on the old site of the Royal Mint) yielded an important group of burials, some of which were accompanied by coins. The re-emergence of the black death like 50 years later however is rather lack lustre. I personally just flip my ruler to hunting focus once I get the initial event of it, and because I always have military trained rulers who most of the time are brawny I recover from the black death atleast 70% of the time, so I just leave my gates open to thin the weak pathetic courtiers that are riding my coat tails.
The supply in most counties during atleas the first black death event will have them drop to only support 100 units, so you can't easily wage a war in that. Yeah if you want to live no matter what, because your dynasty is weak and hardly landed, then shut the gates and take the starvation debuff etc and enjoy the events in seclusion while everyone else dies. Just glad I had a nice large family to get thru the rampant death! wow the attrition! And finding good character in the browser where I was use too 20+ skills sank to 15 as a good councilor for the time following it. Sadly he ended up dieing in combat as a commander for his liege at a young 39.Īnyway the Black Death did not dissapoint. Then he got Slow Fever and he walked away from that one too. Then got consumption walked away from that too. His Liege's doctor botched the treatment adding to the issue and when it was all said and done he walked away Plague free. The 4rth Ruler he was the only one to actually catch the Black Death a wicked - 7 to health. The third ruler a health spry 19 year old died after just 5 days for no reason, didn't have the plague just up and croaked. There was some interesting events, 2 rules taken by Death! Never again will I allow any masked courtier in my court. Well I have experienced my first game with the Black Death!
